This Saturday morning we bring you a 4 hour American Top 40 the 70’s show! From 8 to noon join Casey Kasem for the top songs on June 2nd, 1979, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from the Village People with “In the Navy”.
The song was the group’s third and final Top 40 hit following “Macho Man” and “YMCA”. “In the Navy” appears on their 1979 album “Go West” and it became not only a worldwide smash, it also was used by the U.S. Navy in their recruiting commercials on radio and TV.
