This Saturday morning at 9 on American Top 40 the 70’s Casey Kasem features the top tunes from April 20th, 1974.  It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Chicago with “(I’ve Been) Searchin’ So Long”.

The song was the first single from Chicago VII in 1974 reaching #9 on the charts, and also featured the hits “Call on Me” and “Wishing You Were Here”.  All told, Chicago recorded over 30 Top 40 hits in the 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s and remain of the most popular American bands of all-time.

The band is still on the road touring and will be in Waukee and the Quad Cities in May.  Check out a live performance of “(I’ve Been) Searchin’ So Long” by Chicago today’s Forgotten 45.
