Welcome to the Monday edition of the Forgotten 45 at 3:45! For today’s pick, we go back to this week in 1989 for Poison with “Your Mama Don’t Dance”.
Originally a top 5 hit for Loggins & Messina in 1972, the boys from Poison put a new spin on this classic and it became a top ten hit for the band. Appearing on their huge album “Open Up and Say Ahhhh”, a classic that featured “Nothin’ But a Good Time”, “Fallen Angel”, and their only #1 hit “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn”, the album sold over 5 million copies in the US.
Check out the video with Bret Michaels, Ricky Rockett, and C.C. DeVille of Poison with “Your Mama Don’t Dance” today’s Forgotten 45.
