For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we celebrate the 42nd Anniversary of Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo with Pat’s 2nd ever top 40 hit, from 1980 “We Live For Love”.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer delivered 15 Top 40 hits and won 4 Grammy Awards in her career which started in 1979 with her debut album “In the Heat of the Night” which brought us the classic “Heartbreaker”. The album also included “We Live For Love” a song written by her then future husband Neil. The song went to #27 on the charts.
Most recently Pat & Neil did an episode of Austin City Limits and even after 42 years of marriage, they’ve still got it! Check out a live performance of “We Live For Love” today’s Forgotten 45!
