The follow-up single to “Don’t Look Back” from the album of the same name, “A Man I’ll Never Be” was released in late 1978 and peaked at #31 on the charts in January of ’79. It was a departure of the sounds from their monster debut album and the change of pace ballad was generally well-received by most critics.
The slow-burning ballad still has the unmistakable sound of Boston, with “A Man I’ll Never Be” today’s Forgotten 45.
