Written by Dave Bartholomew in 1952, many years before, the great Chuck Berry recorded this song while live in London.
The original from ‘The London Chuck Berry Sessions’ clocks in at 11 min and 33 seconds, but it was edited to just over 4 minutes and released as a single in the summer of 1972. The song climbed the charts and became Berry’s ONLY #1 in the U.S.
Can you believe that? Of all the great music since the late 50s, it took until 1972 for Chuck to top the charts!
