Cheap Trick – Tonight It’s You
Cheap Trick has been compared to The Beatles, many times throughout the years. Mainly for the pop songwriting sensibilities and the great harmonies.
‘Standing On The Edge’ is a nearly forgotten album released in 1985 and if it weren’t for the song, “Tonight It’s You”, it probably would have faded off into rock obscurity.
“Tonight It’s You” had a lot of MTV airplay which certainly helped the single race up the Hot 100. It eventually peaked at #44, just outside of the Top 40, though I imagine hearing this song, you’ll remember it and could have sworn it was at least Top 40.
