Heart – Dog & Butterfly
The softer side of Heart and the Wilson sisters’ stretching their folk music muscles, the title track from the band’s fourth studio album, was a beautiful song inspired when Ann was watching a dog chase a butterfly, outside her window.
“Dog & Butterfly”, released in 1979, was also a metaphor for not giving up chasing your dreams like a dog chases a butterfly.
The song hit the Hot 100 and climbed to the #34 spot, where it peaked.
