Writing duo, Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman were well known for their contributions to band of the early 70s, like Suzi Quatro, The Sweet, Mud and Smokie.
Smokie was a band from Bradford, Yorkshire who had a hit with a song, first given to Australian band, New World, “Living Next Door To Alice”!
Smokie’s version hit the Hot 100 and climbed steadily to peak at #25!
