Friday’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is a song you can hear again on Saturday night’s Absolutely 80’s show with Nina Blackwood from 9 to midnight. It’s from Genesis with “Abacab”.
The band which features Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford released the album “Abacab” in the Fall of 1981. The album was a departure from their earlier progressive roots and a move toward more pop-oriented sounds.
The album was certified double-platinum in the U.S. and was the first Genesis album to reach the top 10 featuring “No Reply At All” and “Abacab” which peaked at #26 in early 1982.
