Born and raised in Peoria to a mother who was a classically trained pianist and a father who was a high school band director (“Leader of the Band”), is it any wonder Dan went on to success in his music career.
He delivered 11 top 40 hits, his biggest being “Longer” in 1980. “Hard to Say” reached #7 on the charts and features Glenn Frey of the Eagles on backing vocals.
Sadly Dan Fogelberg died from cancer in December of 2007 at the way too young age of 56. I found a video performance of “Hard to Say” from 2003, it was mentioned in the comments that this was his last public performance.
