Today is Peter Cetera’s 78th Birthday. Known as the long time lead singer of Chicago from 1967 to 1985, then of course his solo projects. For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to the Chicago 16 album for “Love Me Tomorrow”.
The album was released in the summer of ’82 and was considered a “comeback” album for the band because it was their first album in 4 years to go platinum, helped by the #1 song “Hard to Say I’m Sorry”. “Love Me Tomorrow” was the follow-up hit reaching #22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
I swear I saw the Chicago 16 tour in Iowa City and the 17 tour in Ames, but I can’t seem to find confirmation they played in Iowa City. Old age and all…
Born on the south side of Chicago on this date in 1944, Happy Birthday to Peter Cetera, the unmistakable voice of Chicago, with today’s Forgotten 45.
