It still saddens me when I think of what might have been with John Belushi who died of a drug overdose 40 years ago. In his 33 years, he certainly left a mark on the entertainment world, starting with the original cast of Saturday Night Live, who can forget Samurai Delicatessen, or cheeseburger, cheeseburger, chip, no Coke, Pepsi!
Belushi was a breakout star in Animal House, and of course the classic film The Blues Brothers with his SNL buddy Dan Aykroyd. Today on what would’ve been his 73rd birthday, we remember John with “Soul Man” today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45.
