We were all saddened to hear of the passing of Betty White on New Years Eve at the age of 99. The star of shows like “Mary Tyler Moore” and “Golden Girls” was beloved by people of all ages.
I mentioned this morning that Betty was a tireless worker and advocate for animals, thus the Betty White Challenge was born! On January 17th, when Betty would’ve turned 100 years old, the challenge is to donate $5 (or more if you can) to a local animal shelter in her honor.
This is a movement we can get behind! Cedar Valley Humane Society of Cedar Rapids and Cedar Bend of Waterloo are a couple in Eastern Iowa. So if you love your fur babies like we do, take the Betty White Challenge in her name!
