Sugarloaf’s biggest hit and most memorable song was also the first single released from the band’s debut album! Not a bad way to start out!
“Green-Eyed Lady” mixes a bit of rock and jazz and some psychedelia to create a perfect song for the time. 1970 was still considered a year of “the hippie” but that feeling didn’t last much longer through the year.
Sugarloaf’s debut single did very well, peaking at #3 on the Hot 100!
