In 1984, Fleetwood Mac’s keyboardist and singer, Christine McVie released her second solo album, ‘Christine McVie’.
The first single was big for her as a solo artist. “Got A Hold On Me” has Steve Winwood playing synth, fellow Mac member, Lindsay Buckingham and co-writer Todd Sharp sharing guitar duties.
McVie had the sound of Fleetwood Mac so it goes say that it would be a hit. It peaked at #10 on the Hot 100, but topped the Adult Contemporary chart for four weeks and the Rock Tracks chart for two!
