Al Green – Here I Am (Come And Take Me)
Al Green’s 1973 album, ‘Call Me’ is a landmark release for Green. It’s considered one of his very best albums and a complete work of great songs and is ranked very high on the several Best Albums… lists.
The second single, following the title track, “Here I Am (Come and Take Me) was a Gold Record, per the RIAA after selling over 500,000 copies and raced up the charts!
It peaked at #10 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot Soul Singles chart.
