Here’s a great suggestion from Sue in Cedar Rapids! She called one out that I had forggotten!

The Nylons – Kiss Them Goodbye

Originally, this song came out in 1969 and made a band called Steam a houshold name. That version went to #1 for two weeks and spent time on the charts into 1970 as well. The song was huge for Steam!

It was recorded and covered by Bananarama in 1983 and peaked at #101, so it didn’t quite make the Hot 100.

But in 1987, an accapella pop group, The Nylons, released a version of the song from their ‘Happy Together’ album. “Kiss Him Goodbye” hit radio and it became a big seller in the stores. This was the song that really introduced The Nylons to a MUCH bigger audience, of all ages! Their version went Top 20, peaking at #12 on the Hot 100!
