Begyle Brewing Free Bird AMA (American Pale Ale)

ENHANCE_BLUR

I was really impressed with this AMA out of Chicago. Nothing new to describe and it’snot breaking any new ground, but it’s a great summer thirst quencher or brew to crack open with friends, just hanging out in the yard or maybe golfing.

A copper/gold pour with a one-finger white head that retained well. On the nose, light colored malts like amber maybe, with some bready notes. Some citrus bordering on sweet peach or apricot but nearly no hop smell can be detected.

The taste brings mostlt malt and slightly sweet citrus with that bready yeast taste. You can finally detect some hop and only a light bitter. IBU has to be extremely low. It’s crisp and dry on the finish with lots of carbonation. You can see the carb right after the pour, almost like a champagne.

It’s an easy drinker, great for hot summer temps and comes in at a low 5.4% ABV, so enjoy a few as one isn’t enough.
