For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we go back to the charts on April 2nd, 1983 for Christopher Cross and “All Right”.

Expectations were high following the massive success of his self-titled album in 1980 which featured his hits “Sailing” and “Ride Like the Wind”.  In 1981 he hit #1 with “Arthur’s Theme”.  Unfortunately his second album “Another Page” was only certified Gold after going 5 times platinum with first album.

“All Right” was the first single from the album and the song went to #12 on the charts.  The tune was also used in the 1983 NCAA Basketball Tournament which featured the incredible upset by Jim Valvano’s NC State Wolfpack over Houston.

Back when a normal looking guy could have top 40 hits!  It’s Christopher Cross with “All Right”.  The Forgotten 45 is sponsored by Honey Creek Furniture in Manchester, Eastern Iowa’s fastest growing La-Z-Boy store.  Check them out at honeycreekfurniture.com.
