Happy Birthday to Jon Bon Jovi! In celebration of his 64th birthday today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is from Bon Jovi with “Lay Your Hands on Me”.
The song was the 4th single from their 1988 album “New Jersey” which was the follow-up to “Slippery When Wet”. The album continued their hot streak as “New Jersey” delivered five, count ’em FIVE top 10 hits, the most for any rock album. “Lay Your Hands on Me” went to #7 on the charts in ’89.
