Saturday morning at 9 join 105.7 KOKZ for American Top 40 the 70’s! This weekend Casey Kasem goes back to April 24th, 1976, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Styx with “Lorelei”.
The band out of Chicago recorded 16 top 40 hits between 1973 and 1991, featuring Dennis DeYoung on vocals Styx released their 5th album “Equinox” in December of ’75 and the album’s first single “Lorelei” was the only chart hit reaching #27 on the charts in ’76.
Styx continues to tour and perform live, in fact they are doing a show tonight in California and tomorrow night in Nevada. From this week in 1976 it’s Styx with a live version of “Lorelei” from 1996. It’s today’s Forgotten 45!
