On March 27th, 1984 the band Ratt released their debut album “Out of the Cellar” so for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 it’s “Round and Round”.
Ratt’s first album was their most successful one as “Out of the Cellar” rocketed the band to the top of the L.A. “glam metal” scene. With heavy support from MTV and radio airplay “Round and Round” became their biggest hit reaching #12 on the charts.
The song continues to get use in movies, TV shows, and even video games showing up in shows like “Stranger Things”, “The Wrestler”, and even a GEICO commercial showing the staying power of the song.
The video features Uncle Miltie, Milton Berle and of course the band playing in the attic Ratt with “Round and Round” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
