It’s another birthday edition of the Forgotten 45 at 3:45 as Jennifer Warnes celebrates her 78th birthday, today’s choice is her first top 40 hit “Right Time of the Night”.

Born on this date in 1947 in Seattle but raised in Southern California, Jennifer was such a talent singer, she was offered a record deal when she was only 7 years old (her dad said no)!  In 1968 she was a regular on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and even was the female lead in the L.A. production of Hair.

Best known for her two #2 duets in the 80’s with Joe Cocker in “Up Where We Belong” and in 1987 with Bill Medley (I’ve Had the Time of My Life), Jennifer’s first top 40 hit was released on New Years Day 1977 as “Right Time of the Night” became a #1 Easy Listening hit and #6 on the pop charts.

I found a video performance of the song on the Midnight Special, Happy Birthday Jennifer Warnes, it’s “Right Time of the Night” today’s Forgotten 45.
