TuNesDay Forgotten 45: Linda Ronstadt

By Jeff Winfield Feb 18, 2025 | 3:43 PM

On this bitterly cold day, I thought I’d continue the Waters Wake-Up Call topic of “Toasty Tunes”.  So today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is a hot one from Linda Ronstadt with “Heat Wave”.

Originally a #1 hit for Martha & the Vandellas in the Summer of 1963 which was remade by Linda in 1975, the year she broke through with first big hits “You’re No Good” and “When Will I Be Loved”.  “Heat Wave” was the “B” side for her country hit “Love is a Rose” but disc jockeys started playing “Heat Wave” and it became a #5 hit.

Heating up your TuNesDay with Linda Ronstadt with today’s Forgotten 45.
