Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles, the winners of Super Bowl 59 over the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.  Since the game was a blowout, for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, how about a tune from a duo from Philly, it’s Hall & Oates with “It’s a Laugh”.

Daryl Hall and John Oates first met in 1967 in Philadelphia and while they were students at Temple University, they discovered they had similar tastes in music and in 1970 they started working together.  Between 1974 and 1991 Hall & Oates recorded 29 Top 40 hits and six #1 records.

In August of ’78 they released their 7th album called “Along the Red Ledge” and the only hit single on the album was “It’s a Laugh” a song that went to #20 on the charts and since the Super Bowl was a “laugher” of a blowout, it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
