105.7 KOKZ welcomes Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, and Spin Doctors to McGrath Amphitheatre in Cedar Rapids on July 7th!  Tickets for the show are on sale now and for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, how about the Gin Blossoms with “Follow You Down”.

The band from Tempe, Arizona formed in 1987 and struck it big with their 1992 album “New Miserable Experience” which sold 4 million copies and delivered their first two hit songs “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You”.

Their 1996 follow-up album was called “Congratulations, I’m Sorry” which came in response to what the band members usually heard from fans after the loss of their former band member Doug Hopkins to suicide in 1993.  People Magazine said “the songs are so upbeat they almost conjure sunny summer afternoons!”  “Follow You Down” was the first single and became their biggest hit reaching #9 in 1996.

You can see them this summer, it’s the Gin Blossoms with “Found Out About You” today’s Forgotten 45.
