Happy Birthday to Alice Cooper who is celebrating his 77th trip around the sun! For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we play his last top 40 hit “Poison”.
The song was a comeback for Alice and it became one of his biggest hits and it was his first hit in over 12 years in the U.S. Appearing on his 18th album “Trash”, the song reached #7 on the charts, matching the performance of his 1972 classic “School’s Out”.
Still out touring today, he’s performing in concert tonight in Mobile, Alabama. With his hard partying days in the past, Alice says the only drugs you’ll find backstage at his shows now are Advil and Ben Gay!
