105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows every weekend!  This Saturday morning at 9 join Casey Kasem for the top songs from January 21st, 1978, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Linda Ronstadt with “Blue Bayou”.

One of the most decorated female singers of all-time, Linda Ronstadt recorded 21 top 40 hits and has won 11 Grammy Awards in her career.  “Blue Bayou” was originally a Roy Orbison song that charted in 1963, Linda’s version went to #3 on the charts appearing on her “Simple Dreams” album.

She didn’t know it, but she was my teenage girlfriend!  Check out the lovely and talented Linda Ronstadt with “Blue Bayou” it’s today’s Forgotten 45.
