This Saturday morning at 9 on American Top 40 the 70’s, Casey Kasem will feature the top songs from January 8th, 1977. It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from England Dan & John Ford Coley with “Nights Are Forever”.
The song was the title track of their breakthrough album which included their first big hit “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight”. The duo went to high school together in Dallas, Texas and performed together for 8 years before Dan Seals went solo with a successful country music career.
“Nights Are Forever” went to #10 to become the second of the duos 6 top 40 hits. A gem of a tune from 1977 it’s England Dan and John Ford Coley with today’s Forgotten 45.
