TuNesDay Forgotten 45: Bob Welch

By Jeff Winfield Nov 19, 2024 | 3:43 PM

Since Waters was talking Yacht Rock this morning on TuNesDay, I thought we’d set sail with  today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Bob Welch with “Sentimental Lady”.

The former member of Fleetwood Mac, the song was originally recorded for their 1972 album “Bare Trees”.  Featuring background vocals by Christine McVie, the song was re-recorded for his first solo album “French Kiss” in 1977.  The album delivered his hit “Ebony Eyes” and “Sentimental Lady” became his biggest chart hit reaching #8.

Bob Welch passed away in 2012 and was honored in an episode of Family Guy where Peter and the family find out that he had died.

A Yacht Rock classic from Bob Welch it’s “Sentimental Lady” today’s Forgotten 45.
