By Jeff Winfield Nov 13, 2024 | 3:43 PM

This Saturday morning on classic American Top 40 the 70’s, Casey Kasem features another 4 hour show!  Starting at 8am this Saturday enjoy the top songs from November 11th, 1978, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Dr. Hook with “Sharing the Night Together”.

The band formed in 1969 as Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, the name inspired by Captain Hook from Peter Pan and the eye patch worn by band member Ray Sawyer who lost his eye in a near fatal car crash.  They first hit the charts in 1972 with “Sylvia’s Mother” and “The Cover of the Rolling Stone”.  They went to to record ten top 40 hits.

“Sharing the Night Together” was a #6 hit and ended up being the 46th most popular song of 1979!  Check out Dr. Hook with today’s Forgotten 45!
