For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to the charts this week in 1991 for “Love of a Lifetime” by Firehouse.

The band out of Richmond, Virginia formed in 1984 and signed with Epic Records in 1989.  In 1990 they released their self-titled debut album which was certified double platinum with sales of over 2 million copies, fueled by the band’s biggest hit “Love of a Lifetime”.  The song went all the way to #5 on the charts.

Firehouse would reach the charts one more time in 1995 with “I Live My Life for You” and that was that.  Going back to ’91 for a popular wedding power ballad from Firehouse with “Love of a Lifetime” today’s Forgotten 45.
