This Saturday morning on American Top 40 the 70’s, Casey Kasem features the top songs from October 23rd, 1976! One of the songs you’ll hear on the show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Peter Frampton with “Do You Feel Like We Do”.
The song was written in the early 70’s by Peter’s band called “Frampton’s Camel”. That band was going nowhere, so he started touring under his own name opening for acts like J. Geils and ZZ Top and playing smaller venues. He started to gain a following from his live shows.
His life changed with the success of his live album Frampton Comes Alive. It sold over 8 million copies and delivered the hits “Show Me the Way”, “Baby I Love Your Way”, and “Do You Feel Like We Do”, a #10 hit in ’76.
Frampton was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, an honor that left him overwhelmed. Check out Peter Frampton and a performance of “Do You Feel Like We Do” from the Midnight Special. It’s today’s Forgotten 45.
