By Jeff Winfield Sep 19, 2024 | 3:43 PM

105.7 KOKZ is your home for classic American Top 40 shows every weekend!  Sunday morning at 8 Casey Kasem features the top songs from September 25th, 1982 and you can hear today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 on the show, from Glenn Frey it’s “The One You Love”.

Fresh off of the news that J.D. Souther passed away this week, he was a long-time friend of Glenn’s, even pre-dating their work with the Eagles.  “The One You Love” was the first single from Glenn’s first solo album called “No Fun Allowed” released in ’82.  The album was certified Gold with sales of over 500,000 copies.

Glenn would find even more success in the 80’s with “The Heat Is On” from Beverly Hills Cop and “You Belong to the City” from the Miami Vice soundtrack.  Of course the Eagles reunited in 1994 after a “14 year vacation” and Frey remained with the band until his death in 2016 at the age of 67.

Today’s Forgotten 45 is “The One You Love” by Glenn Frey.
