The percussionist started her career in the 70’s playing for the George Duke Band but in 1983 left the group and started collaborating with Prince and launched her solo career. In 1984 she debuted her biggest hit “The Glamorous Life” a #7 hit, and in 1985 hit the charts again with “A Love Bizarre” which just missed the top 10 peaking at #11.
