This Saturday morning 105.7 KOKZ brings you American Top 40 the 70’s! It’s a 4 hour show that will start at 8am as Casey Kasem features the top songs from June 30th, 1979. Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is one of the songs from the show, from Earth, Wind, & Fire it’s “Boogie Wonderland”.
Between 1974 and 1982 Earth, Wind, & Fire recorded 16 top 40 hits, including top 10 hits like “Shining Star”, “September”, and “Let’s Groove”. “Boogie Wonderland” was another of their big 70’s hits as they teamed with the Emotions for a #6 chart hit from their 1979 album “I Am”.
The group will be performing in Chicago and the Twin Cities in July with the band Chicago and will be doing several shows at the Venetian in Las Vegas this Fall.
