Happy Friday!  As we roll into the weekend, Nina Blackwood brings you Absolutely 80’s every Saturday night from 9 to midnight.  In fact her Total Recall Top 5 is from this week in 1986, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from The Jets with “Crush on You”.

The Tongan-American family group from Minneapolis started performing in 1977 as the group Quasar (remember the old tv’s?), but changed their name to The Jets inspired by “Bennie & the Jets” by Elton John.

The original group consisted of the oldest 8 of 17 Wolfgramm children, “Crush On You” was the first of 5 top 10 hits for the group “You Got It All”, “Cross My Broken Heart”, “Rocket 2 U”, “Make It Real”.  Sadly in April of this year, Eugene Wolfgramm passed away from heart issues at the age of 57.

Pastel colors!  80’s sound! Check out the video of the Jets with “Crush on You” today’s Forgotten 45.
