This Sunday morning at 8 105.7 KOKZ brings you another edition of classic American Top 40 the 80’s as Casey Kasem plays the top 40 songs from June 13th, 1981. It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Raydio with “A Woman Needs Love (Just Like You Do)”.
The song was the last of 3 top 10 songs by the group featuring Ray Parker Jr. following hits like “Jack & Jill”, and “You Can’t Change That”, “A Woman Needs Love” went to #4 on the charts in 1981. Ray then went solo and hit the top 10 in 1982 with “The Other Woman” and #1 with his smash hit “Ghostbusters” which is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year.
