Happy Monday!  For today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 we celebrate the 74th birthday of the legendary Stevie Wonder with his 1986 hit “Overjoyed”.

Born Stevland Hardaway Morris on this date in 1950, Stevie Wonder scored his first #1 hit at the age of 13 back in 1963 with his song “Fingertips” which was just the beginning of an incredible career.  He’s one of the best selling artists of all-time, the winner of 25 Grammy Awards, even an Academy Award for his song for “The Woman in Red”.  Not to mention he’s a member of just about every Hall of Fame you can think of!

“Overjoyed” appeared on his 1985 album “In Square Circle” and the song was a #1 Adult Contemporary song and reached #24 on the pop charts.  In fact he performed the song for the first time on an episode of Saturday Night Live he hosted in May of 1983.

Happy Birthday Stevie, here’s the video for “Overjoyed” today’s Forgotten 45.
