Monday’s Forgotten 45: Def Leppard

By Jeff Winfield Apr 29, 2024 | 3:43 PM

Mike Waters and his wife are celebrating their 19th anniversary today and Def Leppard is celebrating the 41st anniversary of the release of their monster album “Pyromania”.  So for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, how about “Too Late For Love”.

The album was certified Diamond, which means sales of over 10 million copies in the U.S. alone, with hits like “Photograph”, “Rock of Ages”, and “Foolin”, “Pyromania” was an album that was everywhere in 1983, on the radio and on MTV. “Too Late For Love” didn’t chart on the top 40, but it was a top 10 rock hit.

To celebrate the anniversary, Def Leppard just released a 40th anniversary deluxe edition of the album featuring unheard demos from the band’s archives. You can check out more in music news on this very website!
