The English new-wave band formed in 1981 and their debut album “The Politics of Dancing” was released in 1983 and the title track became the band’s only top 40 hit. A true one-hit wonder!
Keyboardist Paul Fishman would record his song ideas on a portable tape player (remember those?!) and work on them later back in the studio. This song was about the power of music when people come together and just let go.
