Monday’s Forgotten 45: Peter Frampton

By Jeff Winfield Apr 22, 2024 | 3:43 PM

Happy 74th Birthday to new Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Peter Frampton, in celebration of both events for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, it’s Peter with “I’m In You”.

Peter says the news of making the Hall of Fame after 26 years hasn’t really sunk in yet, but what a birthday present!  In a career that started as a teen in the late 60’s and included time with the group Humble Pie, Peter’s career really exploded in 1976 with Frampton Comes Alive, one of the best selling live albums of all-time, featuring classics like “Baby I Love Your Way” & “Show Me the Way”.

“I’m in You” was the title track to his 5th album in 1977 and the song became his biggest chart hit reaching #2 on the chart and it became his final top 10 hit.

Joining a class that includes Jimmy Buffett, Cher, Kool & the Gang, and Foreigner, congratulations to Peter Frampton.  Check out the video to “I’m in You” today’s Forgotten 45.
