Throwback Thursday Forgotten 45: Bob Seger

By Jeff Winfield Apr 18, 2024 | 3:43 PM

This Sunday morning at 8 join Casey Kasem as he counts down the top songs from April 23rd, 1983.  One of the great songs you’ll hear on the show is today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, from Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band with “Even Now”.

The song appears on his album “The Distance” which was released in the final week of 1982.  Influenced by the movie “Annie Hall”, Seger originally intended to make the album all about relationships, but decided that would be to “maudlin”.

The album featured “Shame on the Moon”, “Roll Me Away”, and “Even Now” was a #12 hit in 1983.  Known as one of the signature voices of “heartland rock”, enjoy Bob Seger with “Even Now” today’s Forgotten 45.
