This Sunday morning at 8 on American Top 40 the 80’s Casey Kasem features the top songs from April 11th, 1987. Today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 is one of the songs you’ll hear on the show from Lou Gramm with “Midnight Blue”.
The song was the first solo hit for the lead singer of Foreigner from his debut album “Ready or Not”. “Midnight Blue” was a #5 hit for Gramm who fronted the band from 1976 to 1990 and again from 1992 to 2003.
Foreigner finally received their first nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, even though they’ve been eligible since 2003. They’ve widely been considered one of the biggest snubs by the committee. The nomination coincides with not only Foreigner winding down their touring days, but Lou Gramm has also announced that after 50 years, he’ll no longer be doing any more shows after this year.
