The song appears on Tina’s 1986 album “Break Every Rule” which was the follow-up to her multi-platinum 80’s comeback LP “Private Dancer”. “Typical Male” almost became Tina’s second #1 hit (“What Love Got to Do With It”) but it stalled at #2 on the charts, blocked from the top spot by Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” for three consecutive weeks.
