This Saturday morning at 9 on 105.7 KOKZ, Casey Kasem takes us back to April 8th, 1978 for another edition of classic American Top 40.  It’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Atlanta Rhythm Section with “Imaginary Lover”.

Formed in 1970 from groups The Candymen and Classics IV, the recorded five albums and didn’t really gain much traction until the 1976 album “A Rock and Roll Alternative” which featured their hit “So Into You”.

In January of ’78 ARS released what would become their most successful album “Champagne Jam” which sold a million copies and delivered “Imaginary Lover” which became another #7 chart hit.
