By Jeff Winfield Mar 26, 2024 | 3:43 PM

Yesterday it was Elton John turning 77 and today’s Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is celebrating birthday #76 so for today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45, we go back to 1976 for “Last Child”.

The legendary band has been on the charts in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s recording 21 top 40 hits that include 4 multi-platinum hits (“Dream On”, “Sweet Emotion”, “Walk This Way”, and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”). Aerosmith kicked off their final tour, the Peace Out tour, in September, but after only a few shows, it was postponed after Tyler fractured his larynx. So far, they have not rescheduled the tour dates.

“Last Child” was their 3rd top 40 hit and the tune reached #21 on the charts as the first single from their “Rocks” LP.  I found a live performance of the song in 2004, check out Aerosmith with “Last Child” today’s Forgotten 45.
