105.7 KOKZ brings you classic American Top 40 shows every weekend. This Saturday is a 4 hour show as Casey Kasem features the top songs from March 10th, 1979, it’s where I found today’s Forgotten 45 at 3:45 from Al Stewart with “Song on the Radio”.
The song was the second hit single from his “Time Passages” album, the title track was a top ten hit, and the follow-up “Song on the Radio” was Al “making fun” of his record label who had asked him for a mid-tempo song with saxophone that could be played on the radio. Mission accomplished!
