The song was a #3 hit for Samantha in the summer of ’88 from her self-titled second album and the song was also a big hit in New Zealand, Canada, and Finland. The English singer charted 3 top 40 hits in the US along with “Touch Me” and “I Wanna Have Fun”.
John Leland of Spin Magazine summed up the song best when he said “This is a great pop single, as temporary and tacky as you could want it to be!”
